Welcome to the new Alberta Northwest Territories Youth Network, formerly known as the Chinook Council Youth Network.
Encapsulating all registered Scouts in Alberta and the Northwest Territories, we are an initiative of Scouts Canada for youth to work cohesively with one another.
Run by the council youth commissioner, area youth commissioners, group youth commissioners, company youth commissioners, and troupe leaders, we take on strong mentor leadership roles that feed youth into becoming strong leaders themselves.
Youth enjoy amazing adventures while learning leadership and socialization skills to be better prepared for success in the world.
We help them follow the Canadian Path by offering youth leadership training from Beavers to Rovers, where they will be immersed in learning the ropes of the Scouting movement.
Though the youth council, Scouts attain:
- Leadership development
- Organizational and interpersonal skills
- Communication and public speaking skills
- Information technology
- Project and time management
- Volunteer hours
