So what the heck is an Indaba Day?
Indaba is a Zulu word for an “important” conference Scouts use it to mean a gathering of people to learn from each other.
The basic pillar for an Indaba Day is to have learning opportunities for leaders and youth that are asked for by those attending the event. The Nose Hill East/Calgary LDS North Areas Indaba will have numerous seminars/sessions on topics selected by our leaders and youth. We will primarily focus, but not limited to the 26 core competencies identified in the new Woodbadge 2 program.
There will be a survey monkey to solicit ideas, but if you want to send requests now, please do so. You can e-mail your Group Commissioner, your Area Commissioner (Peter) or your Area Support Manager (Simon)
LDS members can e-mail your Deputy Area Commissioner (David).
We hope to keep the cost to $10 per participant.
There will be 3 morning session times, a significant lunch break and 3 afternoon session times.
Each time block will have numerous learning opportunities.
You can attend one or many learning sessions.
There will be a Trade Show area with a variety of Scouting related exhibitors.
